"Nothing is better

than music.
When it takes us out of time, it has done more for us than we have

the right to hope for…"

—Nadia Boulanger

Barbara Strozzi (August 1619 – 11 November 1677) was an Italian singer and composer of the Baroque Period. During her lifetime, Strozzi published eight volumes of her own music, having more music in print than any other composer of the era. This translation of her Madrigal was arranged by our trombonist, Corey Sansolo.
